Quick Answer
Choose the Oztent Glider Lounge Series III if you want a double seater with fully padded comfort and a 749 lb total weight rating. Choose the Oztent King Kokoda Chair if you prefer a single chair with adjustable lumbar support and solid aluminium armrests. Both are built for camp comfort, but they solve different seating needs.
Seating Capacity and Shared Comfort
The Glider Lounge Series III is a double seater rated for 749 lbs total, or 374 lbs per side. That makes it a natural fit for couples or companions who want to share one piece of furniture. The King Kokoda Chair is a single chair with a 331 lb weight rating, so it suits one person who wants dedicated space. Both include padded comfort and solid construction, but the Glider Lounge Series III leans toward shared lounging while the King Kokoda Chair focuses on individual support.
Support Features That Change the Feel
The King Kokoda Chair includes adjustable lumbar support and solid aluminium armrests. Those details matter if you sit for long periods and want to fine-tune lower back support. The Glider Lounge Series III uses a Positive Lock System and fully padded comfort for a more relaxed, reclined feel. Neither is better in every situation; the right choice depends on whether you prioritize adjustable back support or a plush shared seat.
Weight Ratings and What They Mean for Use
The Glider Lounge Series III supports up to 749 lbs total, which is roughly 374 lbs per side. The King Kokoda Chair supports up to 331 lbs. If two people will share a seat, the Glider Lounge Series III is the practical pick. If one person needs a sturdy single chair, the King Kokoda Chair is more than sufficient for most campers. Always check your own weight and gear against these ratings before you buy.
Tradeoffs to Weigh
- Shared space vs individual fit: The Glider Lounge Series III seats two and supports up to 749 lbs total, but it takes up more room and may not suit solo campers who want a compact chair. The King Kokoda Chair is a single seat with a 331 lb rating, so it fits one person precisely but cannot host a companion. Decide whether you regularly camp with a partner or alone before choosing.
- Padded lounge vs adjustable support: The Glider Lounge Series III emphasizes fully padded comfort and a Positive Lock System for a relaxed recline. The King Kokoda Chair offers adjustable lumbar support and aluminium armrests for upright, structured sitting. Pick the Glider for lounging; pick the King Kokoda for supported sitting.
- Weight rating headroom: The Glider Lounge Series III gives you 374 lbs per side, while the King Kokoda Chair gives 331 lbs total. If you are near the upper limit of either chair, the higher-rated option adds a safety margin. Match the rating to the heaviest person who will use the chair.
